State Asset Management

Funding

  • Funding is available for engineering firms to assist with asset management planning.
  • To receive assistance from the Drinking Water Treatment Revolving Fund, systems are required to implement an approved asset management plan.

Regulatory

  • Systems are required to make annual updates to their asset management plans for state approval. This is required for a minimum of five years.

Assistance

  • Asset management training is provided at events attended by PWSs.
  • Technical providers, including RCAP and West Virginia Rural Water Association, offer aid with asset management planning.
  • Asset management tools and guidance documents are available to PWS.
